I recently attended a Gospel Music Conference and Tye Tribbett was the preacher.
Of the many interesting observations he made, one has really stuck with me. He said that people go to church to praise God and experience the presence of God. He went on to say that, unfortunately, church is the only place that most people engage in these activities.
I don't want to encounter God only at the church house. In fact, even if I go to EVERY meeting throughout the week, that's really just a total of a few hours. As demanding as my life is, that's just not enough.
I need God in my home, on my job, and throughout all the other places and experiences I have in my life.
Do you have a place in your home where you meet God?
I am endeavoring to make my home more of a temple, a sanctuary, a refuge. I encourage you to do the same.
