If you came here looking for Santa Claus, or some "happy holiday" message, you've come to the wrong place.
I don't think I'm a scrooge in any way, but since my posting on Tuesday about gang violence, 2 more people are dead in Monmouth County. In fact, 2 more young ladies (ages 19 and 21) have been shot and killed--leaving their families and friends to mourn during this holiday season.
In an article in the Asbury Park Press, a neighbor of one of the victims made an interesting statement. He said, "the recent pair of fatal shootings is emblematic of a culture too quick to solve problems with weapons."
We've all got problems. All of us have issues. And most days, somebody finds a way to push my buttons. But are those issues so bad, and is the anger so controlling that it drives a person to KILL another human being???
