Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
Jesus taught that the mouth is the instrument that expresses the thoughts and feelings of the heart.
Some might approach it this way: It would not have come out of your mouth, if it wasn't in your heart.
I share these comments in the wake of Michael Richards' tirade of racial slurs and insults at a comedy club recently.
But let me ask you a question...
Have you ever said something to a loved one that was extremely hurtful to them? Maybe, "I hate you!" or "I wish I never met you!"?
Did you really mean it? Did you really have hatred in your heart towards them?
BY NO MEANS am I suggesting that "Kramer" does not have some real issues regarding race.
I AM saying, however, that we all need to look at not only what comes out of our mouths, but also what lies in our hearts.
What are your thoughts on "Kramer's" outburst?

As you stated, the Word of God says, "out of the heart, the mouth speaks". WHAT IS IN THE HEART IS GOING TO COME OUT SOONER OR LATER. And yes, those hateful words you may speak to love ones in a time of anger, you mean them. They more than likely come from having not dealt with whatever the issue is at an earlier time.
Sometimes with family, we try to keep peace and won't always say the things that need to be said. Or you know that a particular subject is going to cause a disturbance, so it is avoided. But, if it is not dealt with, or if it is not released to God, at some point the right conditions will cause your true feeling to come out.
What "Kramer" said was 'in there'. He might not have spoken it out in public before, but it has been in his thoughts and more than likely has come out of his mouth in private at some time.
The article said part of his comments included a statement about "fifty years ago, to the effect that n....s where not allowed to speak in public". Now you know, that did not just come off the top of his head.
The Word of God is Truth, it is no lie.

It's in there! The bible is true, "As a man thinketh so is he." What we eed our spirit with becomes a part of us. Richards had fed his spirit with these racist thoughts and with the right conditions they spilled out.
When people are given the "truth serum" what ever is in the sub-concious comes to the for front. Like prego "it's in there."
I contend that if he had only said a wword or two, at a comedy show he would be repeating maybe something he himself had heard, and it was funny so he repeated it. But this rampage was thought out and deliberate. Wish he had not said it.
I agree what is in you will come out of you. This guy has a control problem and it was shown on that evening. Now he and his team are trying to do damage control and the only control that was need is on him.
The bible also states to be angry and sin not~~~~ he sinned indeed with this one!
I have to agree with Agapejoy. I believe that what "Kramer" said was in his heart. Frankly, it sadden me to see such hatred in a man's heart. It must be relief for him to let all that anger out and the healing process starts here. It is time for him to take a good look in the mirror and see what kind of man he really is and make the necessary changes into become the kind of man he wants to be.
