When Values Collide (Follow Up)

In reviewing the responses to my post, When Values Collide, it is implied that when two values collide, then the decision-maker must decide which value is MORE IMPORTANT.

In other words, when two things are important to you, then you have to decide which is more important.

Is that what we're saying?

Is it possible to prioritize, or rank values? What happens when the values are of EQUAL VALUE?

Does being true to one value ever cause you to violate, or compromise, another value?

I guess it boils down to what each individual considers values as opposed to opinions. Of course my husband is the head of our household and I have no issue with that. But when he approaches a matter that does not line up with the word of God (we are both saved)it is hard for me to pray in agreement with his decision. I feel that my values have been compromised.

Unfortunately, my decisions are not always based upon what is most important. I try to stand firm on what is most important and pray about the rest. Some decisions are based upon keeping-the-peace in my home in some cases. A lot of decisions are situational and conditional, so I cannot accurately and completely prioritize to a science. My family structure is most challenging. Made me think...
